he Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, participated in the April 2026 Kaduna State Local Government Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC) meeting, a key forum for fiscal coordination and grassroots development planning across the state's 23 local government areas.
The meeting was presided over by the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, and brought together all 23 Local Government Chairmen, their Finance Deputies, and key stakeholders from various ministries and agencies. The gathering provided a platform for deliberation on resource allocation, accountability frameworks, and strategies for accelerating development at the grassroots level.
Discussions at the meeting centred on ensuring that statutory allocations are transparently managed and channelled toward high-impact projects in priority sectors. Hon. Rayyan Hussain reaffirmed Kaduna South's commitment to deploying its share of resources toward tangible improvements in health, education, security, and infrastructure — areas that directly affect the daily lives of residents.
The JAAC mechanism serves as a critical oversight and coordination tool, ensuring that funds disbursed to local governments from the State-Local Government Joint Account are utilised in line with approved plans and the needs of the people. Regular participation in such meetings reflects the administration's broader ethos of fiscal transparency and responsible governance.
The Kaduna South Local Government Council remains firmly aligned with the developmental vision of the Governor Uba Sani-led administration, working in concert with state-level authorities to drive progress across all wards and communities within the council area. Residents can expect continued delivery of people-centred projects in the months ahead.
