Kaduna South Presents Q1 2026 Performance Report Before Kaduna State House of Assembly

Published on April 15, 2026

The Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, appeared before the Kaduna State House of Assembly to present the council's performance report for the first quarter of 2026, as part of the legislature's assessment of all 23 Local Government Councils in the state.

The exercise, conducted by the Joint Committee on Appropriation and Local Government, provided each council chairman with the opportunity to account for their stewardship and demonstrate the impact of governance activities within their respective areas. Hon. Rayyan Hussain presented a detailed report outlining the tangible progress recorded by Kaduna South across key sectors during the period under review.

The report highlighted concrete achievements in healthcare, education, security, and open governance — all of which align with the SUSTAIN Agenda of His Excellency Governor Uba Sani CON. From improvements in primary healthcare delivery and school infrastructure to enhanced community security engagements and the promotion of transparent, participatory governance, the council's first-quarter record reflects a deliberate and results-driven approach to local administration.

Hon. Rayyan Hussain commended the Kaduna State House of Assembly for instituting this performance assessment framework, describing it as a transparent and constructive exercise that strengthens accountability at the grassroots level. He noted that appearing before the legislature is not merely a statutory obligation but an opportunity to receive valuable guidance, demonstrate responsible stewardship, and reinforce the council's commitment to serving the people of Kaduna South with integrity.

The Kaduna South Local Government Council remains firmly committed to sustaining this momentum through the remainder of 2026, continuing to deliver impactful projects and services that improve the quality of life for all residents across the council area.
