Bridging the Leadership Gap in Kaduna South
In Kaduna South, the drive for development is often hindered by systemic barriers to citizen participation, youth employment, and limited grassroots influence on public policy. Despite these challenges, we possess a vibrant population of young people bursting with energy and ideas.
KAD-CLAF adopts a locally grounded, practical, and impact-driven approach. By providing tools for civic engagement and policy innovation, we are building a pool of entrepreneurs and advocates dedicated to transparency, accountable leadership, and sustainable growth from the ward level upward.

Specialized Learning Tracks
Following a shared Core Foundation Module focused on ethical leadership and governance, fellows will transition into one of three intensive, specialized tracks.
Civic Engagement & Social Accountability
Equips fellows with skills to mobilize citizens, track public resources, and engage duty bearers constructively using tools like scorecards and public finance tracking.
Practical Output
Design and implement a community civic action project or service delivery monitoring initiative.
Entrepreneurship & Economic Dev.
Supports fellows in developing sustainable, community-driven enterprises. Focuses on entrepreneurial mindset, business modelling, financial literacy, and local value chains.
Practical Output
Development of a viable business or social enterprise plan aligned with local economic priorities.
Grassroots Public Policy & Governance
Strengthens capacity to understand, influence, and co-create public policy. Covers agenda setting, local bylaws, evidence-based advocacy, and OGP principles.
Practical Output
Produce a policy brief or advocacy memo addressing a priority developmental issue in Kaduna South.
Who Can Apply?
The KAD-CLAF Fellowship targets ambitious young men and women who demonstrate leadership potential and a blazing commitment to community development.

Demographics
Youth aged 20–35 years residing within Kaduna South LGA.

Education & Skills
Graduates of a recognized tertiary institution (HND/BSc). Must possess basic computer literacy for virtual learning and research.

Commitment
Ability to dedicate a minimum of four days per week to training, mentorship, and project implementation.
