Hon. Rayyan Hussain Attends March 2026 JAAC Meeting, Reaffirms Commitment to Prudent Resource Management

Published on March 31, 2026

The Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, attended the March 2026 Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC) meeting alongside his counterparts from the other 22 Local Government Councils across Kaduna State.

The session was presided over by the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, and centred on three core principles that underpin effective local government financing: transparency in the management of statutory allocations, prudent utilisation of public funds, and the timely release of resources to enable councils to execute their development mandates without delay.

The JAAC meeting serves as a vital mechanism for ensuring that funds disbursed to local governments from the State-Local Government Joint Account are properly accounted for and directed toward the needs of the people. For Kaduna South, regular participation in this forum is particularly significant, as the allocations received directly fuel the council's ongoing projects in healthcare, education, security, and infrastructure — sectors that form the backbone of the administration's development agenda.

Hon. Rayyan Hussain reaffirmed the council's commitment to the responsible stewardship of every resource entrusted to it, pledging that funds allocated to Kaduna South will continue to be deployed with maximum impact and full accountability to the people. This approach, he noted, is consistent with the broader governance philosophy of His Excellency Governor Uba Sani CON, whose leadership continues to set the standard for transparent and result-oriented public administration across the state.

The Kaduna South Local Government Council remains resolute in its determination to sustain momentum across all ongoing projects and to ensure that the dividends of governance are felt in every ward and community within the council area.
