Hon. Rayyan Hussain Oversees Handover of Water and Sanitation Facility at LEA Kagoro Road, Announces Fresh Education Interventions

The Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, joined the people of Kagoro Road community for the handover of a new sanitation and water supply facility at LEA Kagoro — a milestone that brings improved hygiene, health, and learning conditions to one of the council's public schools and the wider community it serves.
The facility was made possible through the support of His Excellency Governor Uba Sani CON and a productive working relationship between the state and the Federal Ministry of Water Resources, headed by Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev, who was represented at the handover ceremony by Engr. Musa Jaddai. The collaboration is a demonstration of what can be achieved when federal, state, and local government interests align around the practical needs of communities.
True to his hands-on approach to governance, Hon. Rayyan Hussain did not limit his attention to the purpose of the visit. On arrival at the school, he observed pupils sitting on the bare ground — and acted immediately. He directed that additional benches be delivered to the school before the close of day, ensuring that every child would be seated in comfort by the time the school day ended. It was a swift, instinctive response that spoke louder than any policy statement about the Executive Chairman's genuine concern for the welfare of the children in his council area.
The visit also provided a platform for Hon. Rayyan Hussain to address the community on a range of ongoing educational interventions. He highlighted the council's commitment to fair and transparent teacher postings, firmly ruling out lobbying as a basis for deployment decisions — a stance designed to ensure that schools across all wards receive qualified staff based on need rather than influence. He also drew attention to the deployment of NYSC science teachers to strengthen subject delivery in schools where specialist teaching has historically been lacking.
In a further boost to educational opportunity, the Executive Chairman announced that six children from across the local government have been selected for a special preparatory class ahead of scholarship examinations at Nile Turkish School in Kaduna State — adding to the growing number of pupils from Kaduna South's public schools being positioned for transformative educational opportunities.
Hon. Rayyan Hussain closed by calling on residents to continue supporting sustainable learning within their communities and to join in prayer for Governor Uba Sani, whose steadfast support and visionary leadership continues to make projects and interventions of this nature possible across Kaduna South.
