Hon. Rayyan Hussain Visits KADPPA Director General to Strengthen Procurement Standards in Kaduna South

The Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of the Kaduna State Public Procurement Authority (KADPPA), Engineer Sanusi Aminu Yero, in a move aimed at deepening the working relationship between the council and the state agency responsible for setting and enforcing procurement standards across Kaduna State.
The visit was purposeful and forward-looking. At its core was a shared determination to ensure that every project executed and every service delivered within Kaduna South meets the highest possible benchmarks of transparency, value for money, and quality. By engaging directly with KADPPA — the body charged with overseeing procurement processes and ensuring compliance with established standards — the council is taking concrete steps to embed procurement integrity into the very foundation of how it plans, contracts, and delivers for its people.
Discussions between Hon. Rayyan Hussain and Engineer Sanusi Aminu Yero identified practical areas of collaboration through which the two institutions can work in closer alignment, streamlining procurement processes, strengthening oversight mechanisms, and ensuring that public funds committed to projects in Kaduna South yield the full value that residents deserve. The engagement reflects a governance philosophy that leaves nothing to chance — one that recognises that strong systems and accountable partnerships are as important as the projects themselves.
The initiative aligns squarely with the vision of His Excellency Governor Uba Sani CON, whose administration has consistently championed accessible, effective, and citizen-centred governance across all levels. For Kaduna South, building a solid partnership with KADPPA is a direct expression of that vision — ensuring accountability at every step of the procurement chain and reinforcing the public's trust that their resources are being managed with integrity and in their best interest.
Hon. Rayyan Hussain reaffirmed that moves of this nature are not administrative formalities but deliberate building blocks in the construction of a local government that works transparently, delivers consistently, and earns the confidence of every resident it serves.
