The Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, attended a one-day workshop organised by the Fiscal Responsibility Commission at Fifth Chukker Resort, officially declared open by His Excellency Governor Uba Sani CON in a gathering that brought together the full complement of Kaduna State's local government leadership and key financial officials.

The workshop brought together all 23 Local Government Chairmen alongside Commissioners, Directors, Treasurers, and other senior officials to engage in focused discussions on prudent financial management, compliance with fiscal laws, and the strengthening of transparency and accountability systems at the grassroots level. The breadth of representation at the event reflected the seriousness with which the Governor Uba Sani-led administration approaches the question of fiscal discipline across all tiers of government in Kaduna State.

Discussions at the workshop were practical in orientation, equipping participants with concrete tools and frameworks for managing public resources more effectively, ensuring full compliance with established fiscal regulations, and building the kind of transparent, accountable systems that earn and sustain the trust of the communities they serve. For local government administrators, who are often the most direct point of contact between government and the people, such capacity-building exercises carry immediate and tangible relevance.

Hon. Rayyan Hussain noted that workshops and capacity-building programmes of this nature — organised under the clear direction of Governor Uba Sani — are progressively sharpening the ability of local government leaders to deliver good governance at the ward and community level. The knowledge and practical insights gained translate directly into better decision-making, wiser resource allocation, and stronger accountability to the people.
