Kaduna South Participates in January 2026 JAAC Meeting, Focuses on Practical Development Strategies

Published on February 4, 2026

The Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, participated in the January 2026 Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC) meeting, the first of the new year, as local government chairmen, finance deputies, and key state stakeholders gathered to set the tone for fiscal governance and grassroots development across Kaduna State in 2026.

The meeting was chaired by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, and brought the council of 23 local government areas together to deliberate on key issues affecting the effective delivery of services and development at the grassroots level. Discussions were grounded in practicality, with participants exploring concrete strategies for driving meaningful progress across communities in line with the directives of His Excellency Governor Uba Sani CON.

The January sitting carries particular significance as it sets the agenda and expectations for the year ahead. For Kaduna South, engaging actively in this forum at the outset of the year reinforces the council's commitment to fiscal discipline, transparent resource management, and the timely deployment of allocations toward the priorities that matter most to residents — healthcare, education, security, infrastructure, and economic empowerment.

Hon. Rayyan Hussain reaffirmed that the council's participation in JAAC meetings is not a routine administrative exercise but a genuine commitment to accountability and results-driven governance. Every session represents an opportunity to align local government activities with the broader developmental vision of the Governor Uba Sani-led administration and to ensure that the people of Kaduna South receive the full benefit of resources allocated in their name.
