Published on February 18, 2026

The Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, paid a visit to the Kurmin Mashi community where he witnessed a vibrant cultural display and an impressive demonstration of academic excellence by public school pupils — an experience he described as a clear and moving testament to the potential that lies within Kaduna South's younger generation.

The event left a strong impression on the Executive Chairman, who noted that what he encountered went far beyond the walls of a classroom. The intellectual sharpness, cultural pride, and community spirit on display pointed unmistakably to a generation of future leaders in the making — children who, given the right support and investment, are fully capable of carrying Kaduna South and indeed Kaduna State to greater heights.

Hon. Rayyan Hussain led the distribution of a range of educational materials at the event, including writing and instructional materials, full uniform sets, and school bags for pupils. In a gesture that drew particular appreciation, special packages were also presented to teachers in recognition of their hard work, dedication, and central role in shaping the lives of the children in their care. The council's acknowledgement of teachers reflects an understanding that quality education begins with motivated, supported, and valued educators.

The Executive Chairman expressed sincere appreciation to the organisers of the event, singling out Alhaji Nuhu Margi for special commendation. He described Alh. Margi as an ardent supporter of His Excellency Governor Uba Sani CON and a genuine friend to the Local Government whose commitment to community development exemplifies the kind of civic spirit that makes such gatherings possible.

Hon. Rayyan Hussain reaffirmed the council's unwavering commitment to investing in the education of every child across Kaduna South, crediting Governor Uba Sani's leadership with creating the enabling environment that makes such focused, community-level interventions possible. The council, he pledged, will continue to ensure that every pupil in Kaduna South has the tools, the support, and the opportunity to shine with knowledge and pride.
