The Executive Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussain MPSCM FICA, appeared before the Joint Committee on Appropriation and Local Government at the Kaduna State House of Assembly to present the council's 2026 Fiscal Year Budget — a people-centred financial plan designed to drive meaningful progress across every ward in Kaduna South.
The presentation was made alongside council members and senior directors, reflecting a team-based approach to governance and financial planning. The budget outlines clear and focused estimates across priority areas including youth and women development, healthcare improvement, education transformation, and economic growth — sectors that collectively define the quality of life for residents and the long-term prosperity of the council area.
The Joint Committee paid close attention to the council's commitment to transparency and accountability in the management of public funds, consistent with the directive of His Excellency Governor Uba Sani CON and the principles of the SUSTAIN Agenda. Following the presentation, the council earned commendation from the committee, with strong emphasis placed on the need for judicious implementation to ensure that the budget translates into real, visible results on the ground.
Hon. Rayyan Hussain described the budget as a direct reflection of the administration's promise to put people first in every decision. He pledged that every allocation will be deployed with purpose and precision — towards better-equipped health centres, stronger and more functional schools, empowered youth and women, and expanded economic opportunities that reach residents across all wards without exception.
The council expressed deep appreciation for the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, crediting his governance framework with creating the enabling environment for disciplined, focused, and impactful fiscal planning at the local government level. As implementation begins, Kaduna South residents can expect the budget's priorities to manifest in tangible improvements to services and infrastructure throughout the year.
